Two Evil Eyes (1990)
Limited Edition 2-Disc DVD Set - A double dose of Edgar Allan Poe horror from Dario Argento and George Romero. Romero handles “The Strange Case of Mr. Valdemar”, which is, well, typical Romero. A little slow but on par with any of the 60’s Roger Corman A.I.P. Poe stuff.
Leap on over to Argento’s “Black Cat” adaptation with Harvey Keitel as a crime photographer who murders his girlfriend and hides her behind the wall. It’s a nice high spot in Argento’s slowly declining film output of the last ten or fifteen years.
Also includes trailer, interviews with Romero, Argento, make-up effects man Tom Savini, interview with Adrienne Barbeau, behind-the-scenes look at the make-up effects with Savini, and more. This is a numbered, limited edition of only 30,000 made. 2 Disc DVD
