Double Feature: King Kong (1933) & Son of Kong (1933)

In the classic King Kong, we find Carl Denham’s (Robert Armstrong) film crew heading off to a tropical island where a colossal ape known as Kong is reported to live. Sure enough, they find Kong, and he takes a shine to their blond star (Fay Wray). Captured by the crew, Kong is brought back to New York City, breaks free, and goes on a rampage.

In SON OF KONG, Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) the showman who brought Kong to New York returns to Skull Island and finds the spunky 12 foot “son” of Kong. King Kong includes commentary from visual arts vets Ray Harryhausen and Ken Ralston, and Son of Kong includes the original trailer.  DVD
