Dead of Night (1977)
Director Dan Curtis presents a trio of horror stories written by mystery-horror writer, Richard Matheson. In “Second Chance”, Frank (Ed Begley, Jr.) buys and restores an antique car and is transported back in time to the year 1926.
In “No Such Thing as a Vampire”, we find Alexis, the mistress of an old mansion, terrified of vampires. When her husband (Patrik Macnee) calls in his old friend to examine her, a bizarre scheme unfolds.
And finally, on a dark and story night, a young boy that is thought to be dead surprises his grieving mother in “Bobby.”
Includes deleted footage, extended opening title, and bonus Dead of Night TV pilot, A DARKNESS AT BLAISEDON (1969), about an investigator (Kerwin Mathews) and his assistant (Cal Rowe), who investigate supernatural incidents that the local authorities either cannot or will not tackle. DVD
