Concert promoter, Bill Graham, took over and booked bands in the legendary San Francisco music and dance hall, Fillmore West from 1966 until 1971, giving a ton of 60s and early 70s bands their first break to perform in front of a crowd and the opportunity to record in the Fillmore as well as the Winterland (along with his New York venue, Fillmore East). Here we have a nice collection of original Fillmore West (and Winterland) concert posters from some of the concerts that Bill Graham promoted until he closed the Fillmore West and East in 1971.
ARETHA FRANKLIN with King Curtis, The Kingpins, Tower of Power, and James Anderson. Aretha Franklin recored her live LP on March 5th, 6th, and 7th, 1971 at the Fillmore West. It was Bill Graham show #272. This original 14x21” poster (with artwork by David Singer) is in good+ displayed condition with pinholes in the corners. Still nice and bright and displays well.
