In 1971, director Armando de Ossorio made TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD, which is considered Spain’s Night of the Living Dead for as popular as it was world wide. The story of the Knights Templar - executed horsemen whose eyes were plucked out by crows - who rise from their graves and hunt by sound was so popular, de Ossorio continued their exploits in RETURN OF THE EVIL DEAD (1973) where we find the blind Knights terrorizing a small village on the 500th anniversary of their execution.
THE GHOST GALLEON (1975) finds a ship full of swimsuit models stranded with the blind dead when they come across a mysterious ghost ship. In NIGHT OF THE SEAGULLS (1976), the blind dead once again move to land so they can terrorize a remote coastal town where the frightened villagers must sacrifice a beautiful virgin to the blood cult of the Knights Templar every seven years or face their wrath.
